Google Plans To Expand In NYC

Google plans to expand on its presence in New York City to add space for more than 12,000 new workers, an amount that nearly double the company's current number of employees in the city, according to the Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the matter.

The plan would give Google room for nearly 20,000 employees in the city. The deal would enable Google to either buy or lease a planned 1.3 million-square-foot office building at St. John’s Terminal in the city’s West Village neighborhood. The building is scheduled for completion by 2022.
