Kimpton Combines 'Cyber Monday' With 'Giving Tuesday'

Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants is launching a promotion that checks both the “Cyber Monday” and “Giving Tuesday” boxes.

The boutique brand, owned by Intercontinental Hotels Group, is offering 25% off its best flexible rate and will give $5 per night booked to charity for stays between Nov. 19 and March 31 at participating hotels with some blackout dates. The offer is available only to IHG Rewards Club members, Kimpton’s parent company’s loyalty program.

The $5 per night donation will go to The Trevor Project and No Kid Hungry. The brand uses the hashtag #StayHuman to flag its charity efforts.  Kimpton is supporting the initiative on its website and with social media posts.

Both charities have the mission of making “lives brighter, healthier and happier,” per Kimpton. The Trevor Project provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ youth, while No Kid Hungry offers meals, education and advocacy to prevent childhood hunger.

As the charity’s “premier national hotel partner,” Kimpton supports The Trevor Project the rest of the year by offering guests who mention the charity when booking 15% off and making a $10 donation per night. Guests can also choose to support No Kid Hungry and get the same deal: 15% off and a $10 per night donation when it is mentioned at booking.

Kimpton chefs also participate in Chefs Cycle, a No Kid Hungry fundraising and endurance event featuring award-winning chefs to fight hunger outside the kitchen. Donations are made to Chefs Cycle each time a featured item is purchased in participating Kimpton restaurants and bars.
