'Kiplinger' Debuts First Weekly Podcast

Kiplinger, the personal finance and business forecasting publisher, has debuted its first podcast, a weekly, personal finance audio series called “Your Money’s Worth.”

Sarah Stevens, vice president of content at Kiplinger, told Publishers Daily the company is looking at ways to "expand the Kiplinger brand and provide different avenues for consumers to reach our personal finance and investing information.”

Stevens said podcasts are “a natural next step into the digital world,” and the right platform to “showcase the knowledge and character of our experts while relaying personal finance information in a way that’s quick and easy to digest.”

Stevens was appointed in April to spearhead new initiatives to bring audiences to the nearly 90-year-old brand.

The first episode of "Your Money's Worth" focuses on scoring holiday deals on Black Friday and throughout the gifting season.

The episode discusses holiday shopping tips. It features an interview with Andrea Browne Taylor, the online editor of Kiplinger.com.

Each episode in the series will runs under 30 minutes, with three segments, including an interview with an industry expert.

“ ‘Your Money’s Worth’ is aimed at consumers who may not be fluent in personal finance, but who want to make better money and investing decisions,” Stevens stated.

Cohosted by Kiplinger’s personal finance senior editor Sandra Block and investing writer Ryan Ermey, the podcast will cover “timely personal finance topics,” such as “uncertain markets, tax filing tips, stock picks, travel, retirement planning, dealing with debt” and more, per a company release.
