Brit+Co Launches New Podcast Focused On Positive Female Images, Changemakers

Brit + Co is growing its "Be the Change" editorial series with the company's first podcast, premiering today.

The first season of the “Brit + Co Show” podcast has four episodes and is inspired by challenges created by the media company to encourage women to help make a difference.

The series gave tips and info on local activism, such as becoming an advocate for refugees and starting a local chapter of a nonprofit.

The launch sponsor of the “Brit + Co Show” is L'Oréal Paris. The series is hosted by Brit Moran, the DIY and lifestyle site’s founder.

The Brit + Co podcast aims to “foster courage, creativity and curiosity” and “inspire women to break out of their comfort zone, boldly pursue their passions and take action,” according to the company.

Each episode of the podcast will feature an interview with a female change maker, including model and body-positivity activist Iskra Lawrence, former vice chair and CMO, General Electric Beth Comstock, rocket scientist-CEO, Girl Scouts of America Sylvia Acevedo and the founder-CEO of Girls Who Code Reshma Saujani.

The first episode centers around an interview with Comstock.

Morin will also interview the 10 nominees of L'Oréal Paris’ Women of Worth campaign throughout the podcast series. The campaign spotlights women who are volunteering to serve their communities, such as organizing local fundraisers for disaster relief efforts and providing incarcerated women with resources to prepare them for life after release.

Episodes of the "Be the Change" podcast series will launch daily this week.
