The streaming video measurement platform Conviva has acquired the social video analytics platform Delmondo.
The deal will see Delmondo rebrand as Conviva Social Insights, and will unify Conviva’s data from applications and the web, with Delmondo’s expertise in measuring content and audience on social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Specifically, the company says it will be offer a solution “that unifies real-time census-level streaming TV intelligence from apps and the web with content and audience intelligence from social media platforms.’
In other words, companies will be able to track viewership on social platforms, and see if they impact viewership or other KPIs on other platforms.
The deal is the biggest move made yet by Conviva under CEO Bill Demas (pictured above), who joined the company in May. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Conviva has raised $110 million in seven funding rounds since being founded in 2006.
