Peter Jennings, the anchor of ABC's "World News Tonight" for more than two decades, died Sunday. He was 67. Jennings, a Canadian-born journalist who became the most public face of ABC News, in April
announced that he had lung cancer, and would step down as news anchor to undergo treatment. His passing marks the end of an era of network news programming, as all three of the Big 3 network news
anchors have departed. CBS' Dan Rather retired last month, and NBC's Tom Brokaw stepped down in December 2004.
