NFL Selects 72andSunny As Its New Ad Agency

The National Football League has selected 72andSunny, the MDC Partners agency, as its new creative agency after a review that began earlier in the fall. Grey was the incumbent on the account, which it first landed in 2009.

Also contending were Wieden+Kennedy and Goodby Silverstein & Partners.

The review was launched shortly after the arrival of Tim Ellis as the league’s Chief Marketing Officer.

Ellis was familiar with 72andSunny’s work from his previous role at Activision Blizzard, for which the agency created spots for video games, including “Skylanders.”
