Constant Contact has formed an integration with Shopify, allowing small businesses to send segmented emails.
Shopify merchants can sync their online store with their Constant Contact account and create emails featuring specific products, and promotions, Constant Contact says.
The link-up is also designed to “leverage customer segmentation and automated email marketing campaigns, such as abandoned shopping cart reminders, that can have a direct impact on sales,” states Jonathan Kateman, general manager of Constant Contact.
The integration also enables users to drag-and-drop email content, including their Shopify products and coupons. It also features sales reporting.
In addition, Shopify contacts are imported to Constant Contact accounts.
Shopify reports gross merchant volumes of more than $1.58 billion for the Black Friday/Cyber Monday period, with email pulling the highest conversion rate — 4.38%, compared with 4.35% for direct mail and 3.60% for search.
