Dish, Sling TV Sign Up For Comscore's Campaign Ratings Beta

Dish Media is joining the beta of Comscore’s Campaign Ratings solution. The agreement covers inventory from both Dish and its streaming virtual multichannel video service Sling TV. Sling will go first, with Dish being added to the beta in early 2019.

CCR, as the company calls it, is a cross-platform video advertising solution designed to provide unduplicated campaign measurement across TV, OTT, mobile and desktop.

The CCR beta program launched in September.

In the case of Dish, CCR will allow advertisers to view the incremental audiences that Sling and Dish deliver on top of their linear national delivery. The measurement will cover both addressable and linear advertising.

Dish is the first multichannel video provider (MVPD) to join the CCR beta.

CCR already counts Hulu as its streaming measurement partner, with NBCUniversal, AMC, A+E Networks, Disney, Discovery, CBS, Fox, Turner and Viacom also on board as beta partners.

CCR is one of a handful of measurement solutions hoping to tackle the fragmented world of cross-platform video. While consumers are watching more video than ever, they are increasingly doing so cross-platform and through various streaming services.

Advertisers and content providers have been looking for solutions able to tie those fragments together.
