Microsoft 365 is adding two new bundles to help users improve their data security and comply with regulations.
The products are designed to answer the need for “security and compliance solutions in an age of increasingly sophisticated cybersecurity threats, as well as complex information protection needs due to regulations like the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR),” writes Ron Markezich, corporate vice president for Microsoft 365, in a Tuesday blog.
These features are available as part of the Microsoft 365 E5 suite, and can also be purchased on a stand-alone basis. They are:
Identity & Theft Protection — This brings together Microsoft Threat Protection, including Azure Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), Windows Defender ATP, and Office 365 ATP. It also is made up of Microsoft Cloud App Security and Azure Active Directory. It is priced at $12 per month.
Information Protection & Compliance — This package, which combines Office 365 Advance Compliance and Azure Information Protection, was created to help chief compliance officers perform ongoing risk assessments with a compliance score across Microsoft Cloud services. Users can also classify and protect sensitive data and respond to regulatory requests with the help of artificial intelligence, the company says. It costs $10 per month.
Markezich adds: “As we speak to customers about the future of work, we know security and compliance are some of the highest organizational priorities.”
Microsoft 365, which also includes analytic tools, is being used by such clients as BP, Gap, Walmart and Lilly.
