Trump TV Spot Hypes Border Security

In ramping up for a presidential speech on Tuesday night, a TV spot touting the need for border security -- including visuals of a “wall” -- has spent some $220,654 in national TV advertising since January 5, according to iSpot.tv.

Through January 7, the presidential TV spot has run 12 times on CNN -- with an estimated cost of $27,001; nine times on Fox News Channel ($34,262); and twice on CBS ($159,391).

The ad was paid for by Donald J. Trump for President.

Since January 5, the spot has generated 14.2 million impressions -- with 12 million of those impressions coming on Sunday TV programming.

Two of the biggest programs where the spot has run in terms of impressions are “60 Minutes” on CBS on Sunday; and a college basketball game -- Indiana v. Michigan also on CBS on Sunday.

Other major shows airing the spot include Fox cable network shows “Fox and Friends Weekend,” “Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo,” “America’s News Headquarters” and “MediaBuzz.”

CNN shows include “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown,” “New Day with Alisyn Camerota and John Berman,” “Fareed Zakaria GPS” and “Inside Politics.”

Looks like money decently spent. If the topic wasn't such a ridiculous political football (no need to hype, really, as there's been bipartisan agreement on the need for increased "border security" for decades EXCEPT NOW the left IS AGAINST the increased border security that they've always BEEN FOR because Trump is for it, and they're afraid Trump has the smarts, and wherewithal to actually make it happen), that money wouldn't have been spent.

I've voted for three Democrats in my lifetime for President. Listening to the hypocrisy of Pelosi and Schumer last night after Trump's address, I may never vote for another one again.

True that, Paula. That I assisted three Democrats into the Oval Office is enough. No more liberal Kool-Aid for me. I've gotten too sensible in my old age. Common sense is common sense. That Pelosi and Schumer have advocated in the past for increased border security (including protective barriers of different sorts) is not in question. That they are now doing what they're doing simply so Trump won't be credited for getting something positive done that they've long wanted to do, but lacked that common-sense, business oriented wherewithal to get done is PATHETIC.
