Sunoco Selects Solve As New Creative, Media AOR

Sunoco Fuels is appointing Solve as the brand's new advertising AOR following a competitive pitch. This winner replaces two incumbents. Creative incumbent was Allen & Gerritsen; media incumbent was MayoSeitz Media.

Solve's responsibilities include brand strategy, creative, media planning and buying, and digital and social media support. The agency will also lead consumer research and ongoing success measurement. In addition, the assignment will include the brand’s APlus convenient stores.

New brand work is expected to debut in spring 2019 under a strategy designed to "redefine the brand for the next generation," says an agency spokesperson. 

Sunoco is probably best known for its involvement with racing. The world’s largest manufacturer and marketer of racing fuels distributes gasoline to more than 500 racetracks worldwide and is the official fuel of NASCAR, NHRA and 50 other racing series in the U.S.
