France has implemented a 3% direct digital sales tax on the tech giants, The Telegraph reveals. The newspaper suggests the French government has become disillusioned with the tech giants' legal tax
avoidance measures and so decided to act first rather than wait for other EU countries to join in. The question will now be whether the UK will follow through with its proposed 2% equivalent.
