Proximity, part of Omnicom’s Precision Marketing Group, has appointed agency veteran Richard Fraser to the newly created role of North America CEO.
He reports to Global CEO Doug Worple and is joining the agency’s global leadership team.
The appointment marks Fraser’s return to the agency, where he served as regional managing director for Asia, Middle East and Africa before leaving to join sibling agency BBDO as president Southeast Asia and CEO BBDO Singapore in 2016.
Fraser will be based in New York and is tasked with accelerating growth and expanding the shop’s North American footprint.
He will also be focused on expanding Proximity’s capabilities and expertise in performance marketing, ecommerce, technology and innovation. CEO Chris Evans of Barefoot Proximity in Cincinnati and Garrett Franklin, managing director of Atmosphere Proximity in New York will both report to Fraser.
Fraser is the latest addition to the Proximity Global Leadership Team, following the appointment of Troy Hitch to Global Chief Innovation Officer last October.
