Signet Jewelers, which operates 3,300 stores -- primarily Kay Jewelers, Zales, Jared The Galleria Of Jewelry, and Piercing Pagoda -- announced plans to close another 150 stores this fiscal year. Last
fiscal year, the company closed 232 stores in North America. The closings are part of the company’s “Path to Brilliance transformation journey,” according to
USA Today. There
also will be limited new openings "primarily consisting of repositions to off-mall locations."
