Agencies Celebrate Moms With Company Policies, Programs

While many clients are recognizing moms through consumer-facing campaigns, several agencies are internally celebrating females with unique programs.

David&Goliath (D&G) has replaced employee headshots on their website with photos of their mothers or motherly figures, as well as photos of D&G’s mothers with their kids. The agency is also hosting a card-crafting station for employees to handwrite cards wishing their moms or motherly figures a Happy Mother’s Day on Friday.

Wondersauce continues to showcase its female-forward policies by building a maternity room.
"Most offices might just send nursing moms to a handicap restroom, and that just didn't sit right with me," explains Eric Mayville, COO, Wondersauce. "Having a dedicated room that will make sure they are comfortable and feel a sense of privacy is just the right thing to do. It's been great to watch our team grow, get married, and start family life."

Mayville's agency also "strives" to be a place that fosters family-friendly policies by offering 12 weeks maternity/paternity leave, six months of full health insurance coverage if a parent decides to take more than 12 weeks, and job security for a year.

Similarly, Pitch offers a "mom's room" with a "comfy chair," electrical outlets, a refrigerator and supplies. It’s located in a non-busy corner for privacy and near the women’s restroom for nearby access to a sink.

“When we planned the buildout of the new agency, it was a priority for us to create an environment that is welcoming and inclusive of working parents," says Sara Bamossy, co-CEO, Pitch. "One of our staffers also had a great idea to put up photos of the littles to make the room feel a bit more cozy, and it helps moms who are pumping to see their babies.”

Berlin Cameron will host a discussion featuring Randi Zuckerberg and Jennifer Breithaupt, CMO of Citi about what it means to be a mother today. The "Reframing Motherhood" event will be held on May 13 at 8:30am at NYC's 3 Columbus Circle.
