AKQA Sao Paulo Wins Media Grand Prix

WPP’s AKQA São Paulo was awarded the Media Lions Grand Prix Wednesday night for its “Air Max Graffiti Stores,” campaign for Nike.

Media Lions jury president Karen Blackett, WPP UK Country Manager & MediaCom Chairwoman UK & Ireland, called the effort: “A brilliant piece of work that tapped into local culture with ecommerce intertwined with geofencing to create a new store opportunity — the media is the message.”

There were 2,196 entries in the Media Lions category and 65 Lions awarded, including 7 gold, 20 silver and 37 bronze. See more about the winners here.
