Leo Burnett's #ToastToTutssel

Leo Burnett Worldwide is recognizing Executive Chairman-Chief Creative Officer Mark Tutssel's retirement with a tribute tailored to one his interests: Instagram.

The Publicis-owned agency is rolling out content celebrating his 34-year career today on Leo Burnett’s Instagram Stories. The stories are curated from Leo Burnett offices around the globe, expressing thanks and well-wishes to Tutssel for his creative leadership.

"We wanted to celebrate him in a place he finds to be a source of inspiration and creativity," says an agency representative.

Fans and colleagues are encouraged to share their own "toasts" through the hashtag #ToastToTutssel.

The project was a global team effort, with colleagues around the world developing video content over the past few weeks. The content was scheduled strategically to make its way around the world at times when global offices would be up and able to interact with the posts in real time.

"The response from the network was overwhelming ,and we hope the virtual toast is only the beginning of the well-wishes coming his way as he begins this next chapter," says the rep.

In May, Tutssel announced he would begin his retirement at the end of June. Over his three-decade plus career, Tutssel won over 600 Cannes Lions, including nine Cannes Grand Prix, three Titanium Lions and four Glass Lions. He also was awarded the first D&AD White Pencil, two D&AD Black Pencils, and numerous others.

Tutssel is also one of the only creative directors in the world to serve as a Cannes Lions Jury President five times.
