While the partnership allows each outlet to fuel audience engagement across its platform, it also comes at a time when musicians count on revenue from live events more than ever before, with 60% to 80% of musicians' incomes coming from live events in some capacity.

The partnership comes as Billboard trains its focus on global expansion and a new suite of products and brand opportunities, investing in tech, data services, insights and research and new content types.

Billboard is part of The Hollywood Reporter-Billboard Media Group, which reaches over 45 million people a month and reports over 2 billion annual online views of video content.

Bandsintown counts 130 million monthly active fans across the globe with 50 million registered concert goers registered to the site.
