In partnership with an artificial intelligence platform, Broadway musical Wicked has used a virtual assistant to drive ticket sales.
Through its use of the Broadwai.ai AI platform, Wicked has seen an increase return on investment of 700%, with the average ticket price selling for 20% higher compared to its weekly average, according to the company.
The AI platform, created in partnership with Satisfi Labs, is integrated with Ticketmaster allowing theatergoers to purchase tickets via a chatbot.
The automated digital assistant includes information on shows, venues, food and beverage options, shopping and parking.
Wicked is using the technology to enhance search-driven metrics to monitor ticketing, traffic and conversion rates for the show.
