The Quest For Non-Plant-Based Vegan 'Dairy'

While plant-based products like almond milk grow in popularity, researchers at several start-up companies are looking into what could be  "a whole new category of food": cow-free dairy, according to The New York Times. Companies like New Culture have begun producing casein and whey protein -- ingredients that makes dairy taste like dairy -- in the lab.
