Google To Avoid 'Link Tax' By Taking Away News Snippets In France

Google has said it will refuse to pay to link to news stories next month when the new EU Copyright Directive becomes law in France. According to the Press Gazette, it will remove the snippet of content from a news story, but will also allow for publishers to specify they would like a line or two from the article to appear.
