The Milk Processor Education Program (MilkPEP) is naming Yin Rani as the dairy industry-backed advertising coalition's new CEO. She replaces Julia Kadison who recently retired.
Rani brings nearly 25 years of integrated marketing experience from both brands and agencies. She was most recently vice president, chief customer experience officer for the Campbell Soup Company.
At Campbell, she helped to modernize the company’s marketing across content, media, design, martech and digital as well as improving the business trajectory for important core brands and new launches.
Earlier in her career, Rani was president, North America of Universal McCann, the IPG Mediabrands agency.
Rani’s breadth of experience will serve her well in new role leading an organization an organization battling declining market share and changing consumer habits.
A search committee made up of representatives from seven milk brands selected Rani from what they call a "large pool" of candidates. “Not only does she have a proven marketing track record tackling some very similar brand obstacles during challenging times, but she’s also immensely collaborative and has the courage and candor to help continue to drive impact in our industry," explains Lynne Bohan, vice president of communications and government affairs, HP Hood and chair of the CEO search committee.
Rani will be relocating to Washington, D.C. to lead the MilkPEP team. "The milk industry continues to face material challenges that need to be addressed with thoughtful, sustained solutions,” she says. “The children of America deserve to grow up with milk as a foundational part of their diet, and to carry that commitment into their own families.”
