Yahoo Mail users are experiencing service outages throughout the UK and parts of the European continent. 

The reports coming in to downdetector apparently peaked around 1 p.m. EDT.

Yahoo has confirmed the outage, saying: “You may not be able to access some of our services, including email. Our top priority right now is getting this fixed. We appreciate your patience," according to Express.

Yahoo continues: "We understand how difficult this must be for you. We are working especially hard to fix this. Please stay tuned for updates."

Of the reports coming in to downdetector, 58% concern log-in problems, 29% inability to read mail and 11% difficulty with sending emails.

The “major outage” has drawn “1,400 reports at one time from users insisting Yahoo Mail is not working as normal.,” in the UK, Express reports. 

One user complains: “Yahoo email not working. Cannot compose/forward/reply/search. Only today's email showing on screen. Any suggestions?

UPDATE: Yahoo web is also reported down in the UK, Express reports. And reports of Yahoo Mail outages came in from Jordan, Greece, Italy and Scotland on Tuesday afternoon ET.
