Sorrell's S4 Reports Another Strong Quarter

S4 Capital, led by Martin Sorrell, had another good quarter with revenue up more than 50% to £56.6 million ($73 million) with organic growth up 48%.

On a call today with analysts, the company said it was on target to double its organic growth by 2021.

The company’s new business pipeline remains robust, earning added assignments from existing and new clients, such as AB InBev in Brazil, Sony, Coca-Cola, HP and Google.

In addition, the firm is involved in five current global RFPs, pitching as a specialist for a piece of the programmatic or content portion of those businesses, Sorrell disclosed.

The firm also secured £100 million in new equity in October, with more to be raised in Q4 for future acquisitions.

The company has close to 2,000 employees now in 26 countries, although Sorrell said the company’s focus is on growing in the Americas and APAC and to a lesser extent, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Asked about the global pitches S4 is involved with Sorrell replied that marketers are “calibrating” pitches to accommodate specialists in a bid to “take back control over marketing.” That means more sophisticated models and agency relationships that allow for the integration of specialists in programmatic and other fields, he added.
