Conde Nast Names Stan Duncan First Global Chief People Officer


Condé Nast has named Stan Duncan global Chief People Officer, a role he takes on December 2.

He will be the first global Chief People Officer for Condé Nast, which combined its U.S. and International business operations this year.

JoAnn Murray was Chief People Officer for the U.S. She is stepping down.

The former Chief Human Resources Officer at investment banking company Raymond James Financial, Duncan will now oversee Condé Nast’s global people organizations and lead all human-resources functions.

His oversight will include talent acquisition, talent development, diversity and inclusion, executive compensation and total rewards, employment practices, HR technology, workforce planning and strategic business partnering.

Duncan’s “global experience and in-depth knowledge of multiple industries uniquely equip him to help Condé Nast as we work to unify and develop our global team and enter our next phase of growth,” stated Roger Lynch, CEO of Condé Nast. 

While at Raymond James, Duncan “built people and talent capabilities to support the firm’s achievement of record revenue growth,” according to Condé Nast statement on his hiring.

Duncan has also served as senior executive vice president, global head of human resources and management for shopping center company Westfield Group, as well as various HR leadership roles at Aramark, Sterling/Eastman and PPG.
