The Elle Decor Café at The Plaza is designed by Sasha Bikoff. She is the first interior designer to reimagine the space in decades, according to Hearst. It will run through March 2020.

The café will be decorated with a new line of furniture licensed by Elle Decor (called Elle Decor Collections) that goes on sale next spring on Wayfair and Macy’s sites.

“Part of ED’s mission is to showcase the stars of the interior design world and show how design can transform spaces from uninspired four blank walls to the most magical, Instagram-worthy spaces," stated editor-in-chief Whitney Robinson.

"What I hope is that a project like the Elle Decor Café at The Plaza shows the world how interior design can make us happier, make us live better and allow us to dream,” he added.

Bikoff described the new look of the historic jazz club as “Marie Antoinette at Studio 54,” according to the New York Post.

The pop-up café will be featured in the March 2020 issue of Elle Decor.

There are two Elle Decor-branded cafés in China, two in Japan and one in Thailand.

Elle Decor partnered with Calligaris, Universal Furniture, The Rug Company, The Shade Store and Sasha Bikoff for Vervain on the café.

The Plaza Hotel is a landmarked 20-story luxury hotel and condo bordering Central Park South. It opened in 1907 and is owned by Katara Hospitality.
