In a keynote address at the Forecast conference in Manhattan, HDnet founder Mark Cuban brushed aside concerns about the expensive costs of format conversion, and stated that television networks that
did not go the high-definition route he helped pioneer would be "in a ghetto," left behind by competitors who saw the value of adapting the technology.
"We want to make content and distribute it
to people where they want it, when then want it," Cuban said. "High-definition television will be there whether you like it or not--analog is going away."
