Bank Of America Consolidates Ad Account With Publicis Groupe

Bank of America is consolidating its ad account with Publicis Groupe, the companies confirmed today.

Publicis Groupe had been on the BofA roster serving the financial services company via a dedicated unit, GroupeConnect.

GroupeConnect and its media agency sibling Starcom won a MediaPost OMMA Award in 2018 for the “Echoes of Vietnam” campaign designed to engage millennials through music.

With the consolidation, BofA is ending its relationship with Hill Holliday, part of Interpublic Group.

“Bank of America is consolidating external marketing agency resources with one network, Publicis Groupe, to accelerate our data-driven creative approach and enable us to continue to focus on efficiency,” Bank of America Chief Marketing Officer Meredith Verdone stated.

Bank of America spent about $187 million in the first nine months of 2019 on measured media, according to Kantar.
