GroupM media agency Wavemaker has completed a restructuring of its worldwide client leadership team with the appointment of Alastair Bannerman to the role of global client president, reporting to CEO Toby Jenner.

Jenner is relatively new to his role, having joined from sibling agency MediaCom last summer. 

Bannerman, whose appointment is effective in April, is also joining MediaCom, where he most recently served as global category and client president. He will remain based in London.

Under the new setup, Bannerman will complete the triumvirate of global client presidents at the agency, which also includes Anna Hickey and Alex Altman. Together, they will be responsible for driving worldwide account best practices and creating and strengthening key client relationships. 

Prior to joining MediaCom in 2013, Bannerman worked at Carat, ZenithOptimedia and Starcom across various sectors, including FMCG, auto, technology and energy.
