Email security firm Trustifi is offering an AI-enabled feature that scans and encrypts email attachments, including images and PDF files.  

Working via Optical Character Recognition technology (OCR), the tool also identifies credit card scans and financial statements as sensitive, and automatically encrypts them, the company says.

The new tool, which can prevent email phishing, debuts this week at the 2020 RSA Conference in San Francisco.

The new OCR feature will protect entities that send personally identifying data via email, including healthcare, retail and financial services, the firm adds.

Trustifi provides an SaaS security product that includes email encryption and data loss prevention capabilities.
