Dish Network and Cox Media Group announced that, in the interest of keeping the public informed during the coronavirus pandemic, they have suspended the retransmission dispute that has kept TV stations in 10 DMAs blacked out by Dish since January 18.

The companies said they have reached a short-term agreement to “keep communities safe, healthy and informed.

The affected stations left Dish customers having to look elsewhere for local news and network content from ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox.

The stations restored, effective immediately, are in these 10 markets: Binghamton and Syracuse, New York; Medford, Oregon; Spokane and Yakima-Tri Cities, Washington; Yuma, Arizona; Alexandria, Louisiana; Eureka, California; Greenville-Greenwood, Mississippi; and Idaho Falls-Pocatello, Idaho.

Dish also cited the public information priority for reaching short-term retransmission agreements with to restore channels owned by Mission, Marshall and White Night Broadcasting. Those agreements are in place until April 13.
