Wunderman Thompson Poaches IPG Mediabrands' Kenny For Top Client Role

Industry veteran Caroline Foster Kenny is jumping from IPG Mediabrands where she most recently was global president, client solutions and UK & Ireland CEO to Wunderman Thompson  in the newly created role of Global Chief Client Officer.

As part of the global leadership team, Foster Kenny will be responsible for global client relationship development, and will work cross-functionally across all the Wunderman Thompson capabilities to drive business and brand transformation for the top 30 global clients. She will be based in London, reporting to WT Global CEO, Mel Edwards.

“This is truly an opportunity I could not pass on – it’s a defining moment for me,” she says. She adds Wunderman Thompson has all of the “right ingredients to partner with their clients to drive business and brand growth.”

Foster Kenny was in her role at Mediabrands for over three years.

She is a familiar face within WT’s parent company WPP. Prior to joining IPG Mediabrands, Foster Kenny held the role of Global Chief Client Officer at GroupM’s MEC (now part of Wavemaker), where she oversaw the agency’s top client relationships.

She was part of WPP for over 20 years, holding various international leadership roles, including a six-year stint in Asia, based out of Hong Kong and Shanghai.
