Aiming to expand in China, the self-regulatory organization Trustworthy Accountability Group has partnered with the China Advertising Association, a Beijing-based nonprofit.
As part of the new partnership, the Chinese organization will promote TAG's certification programs -- including its anti-fraud initiative -- to members, according to CEO Mike Zaneis. TAG also offers certifications aimed at combating malware and piracy, and at addressing the lack of transparency in digital advertising.
TAG currently has some members based in China, but the alliance with the China Advertising Association marks the first formal partnership with that country, Zaneis says.
The new partnership comes two years after TAG opened a London office, in hopes of expanding internationally.
Zaneis says TAG has developed a Chinese-language landing page for the China Advertising Association's members, and plans to produce other informational material for them. He adds that TAG also hopes to plan a series of virtual webinars.
