PowerInbox Acquires Jeeng, Adding Push Notifications To Its Email Monetization Tool

PowerInbox, the provider of an email newsletter monetization service for publishers, has acquired Jeeng, a personalized notification platform, adding push technology to its arsenal. Terms were not disclosed.

The purchase combines PowerInbox’s message monetization platform with Jeeng’s AI notification technology, providing publishers with “a fully automated solution,” states Jeff Kupietzky, CEO of PowerInbox.

Kupietzky notes that “a lot of publishers want to add personalized messaging, but there’s just no realistic way to do it manually.”

In addition, PowerInbox has named Jonathan Stefansky, the former CEO of Viewbix, as general manager of Jeeng.

The integration of Jeeng’s technology and the PowerInbox tool will help publishers drive traffic to their online properties and increase page views, the company says.

Jeeng now delivers over 2 billion notifications per month, PowerInbox says.

Farmers’ Almanac uses PowerInbox for its email newsletter campaigns. “The addition of push notifications to the platform is exactly the next evolution in audience engagement we needed to amplify our results,” a spokesperson states.

GoGy Games owner Tal Hen adds that subscribers are “looking for something personalized, and the fact that we can send the right message and most relevant notification to each user is very important.”

Hen adds that “rhe ability to schedule notifications also means they’ll be delivered at the time users are most likely to see and act on them.”

Stefansky, who will lead the Jeeng sales and services team, has also served as EVP sales and marketing at IDT Global Services,  and as CEO of  Qoof.

Venture-backed PowerInbox provides an adtech platform that connects newsletter publishers and advertisers.
