To promote its Web properties such as the University of Phoenix Online, The Apollo Group, Inc. spent more money advertising online than any other company in September, Nielsen//NetRatings AdRelevance
reported Thursday. Spending about $19.7 million, Apollo managed to display over 4.4 billion impressions. LowerMyBills.com, Inc. came in second, attracting about 3.7 billion impressions after spending
$15.6 million in September. In third place was Internet phone company Vonage, which spent $12.5 million and attracted 2.7 billion impressions in September, Nielsen AdRelevance reported.
