Summer Viewing Gains For Six Of 41 Prime-Time Shows

Six of 41 broadcast network prime-time TV series have showed viewership gains through 12 weeks this summer, with NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” remaining the top performer overall.

“America's Got Talent” is down 14% in for its major Tuesday night edition -- averaging a Nielsen-measured 8.2 million viewers, looking at its live program-plus-same day metric. The Wednesday night edition of “Talent” is down 28% to 6.2 million.

Among the shows that have gained versus a year ago, ABC’s “Celebrity Family Feud” is the third-best-performing summer show this year so far -- up 2% to 5.3 million viewers.

NBC's “World of Dance” added on 9% this year to 4.0 million viewers, while ABC's game show "Holey Moley" was up 14% to 3.7 million and ABC's "Match Game" improved 15% to 3.2 million. ABC's “What Would You Do” climbed 2% to 2.5 million, and The CW's “Burden of Truth” was 6% higher to 505,000 viewers.

CBS' best summer show is its Thursday edition of “Big Brother” -- down 2% to 4.0 million viewers.

Fox's best performer is its new show "Ultimate Tag," with 1.8 million viewers.

CW's top summer show is "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" -- down 15% from a year ago to 976,000 viewers.
