MediaCom, Leo Burnett Recognized For Diversity Best Practices

Working Mother is out with its list of companies that made the cut for its 2020 Diversity Best Practices Inclusion Index, and the list includes two ad agencies: Publicis Groupe’s Leo Burnett and WPP’s MediaCom.

Now in its fourth year, the index measures organizations that are using established diversity, equity and inclusion best practices to create inclusive workplaces.

Of the 185 companies submitting data, 98 firms made this year’s index.

Each was scored in three areas: best practices in recruitment, retention and advancement of people from underrepresented groups, creating an inclusive culture through leadership, accountability, communications and employee engagement, and workforce demographic data.

The assessment was conducted by The Working Mother Research Institute. The 98 organizations making the cut are all recognized for their “high-quality diversity and inclusion work.” A second threshold of 29 companies was deemed to be “Leading Organizations” with “superior achievement.” And the top 10% of companies with the highest scores were saluted for their “exemplary” work.
