'WSJ.Magazine' Names Luke Bahrenburg Publisher

Luke Bahrenburg is the next publisher of WSJ. Magazine.

He succeeds Anthony Cenname, who is leaving the company after 10 years as publisher, according to a staff memo from Chief Revenue Officer Josh Stinchcomb.

“With Anthony at the helm, WSJ. evolved from a print-focused publication to a multiplatform powerhouse. He also played a pivotal role in creating and developing WSJ. Innovators, one of the most powerful and prestigious franchises in the industry,” Stinchcomb wrote. “I know Luke is the right person to lead WSJ. Magazine into its next chapter and to accelerate the digital and multiplatform growth of this great brand.”

Cenname will leave the company on September 1.

Bahrenburg has spent nearly 10 years at Dow Jones in sales and marketing positions. He helped launch and grow several lifestyle brands across Dow Jones and News Corp.

He most recently served as senior vice president of B2C media sales, overseeing all of The Wall Street Journal | Barron’s Group's luxury, consumer and real estate advertising, as well as its lifestyle brands including WSJ. Magazine, Penta and Mansion Global.

Bahrenburg will continue in this role.

He will work closely with Omblyne Pellier, who has been promoted to associate publisher of WSJ. Magazine, according to Stinchcomb’s note.

Pellier will also remain head of EMEA ad sales at The Wall Street Journal.

WSJ. Magazineskipped its August print issue, due to the pandemic's impact on advertising and production.

The magazine has since returned to its usual print schedule. The September women’s fashion issue featured tennis player Naomi Osaka on the cover.
