Tastemade To Debut First Branded TV Series With Realtor.com

Tastemade and Realtor.com are partnering to produce a four-part, long-form TV series called “Beyond the Block” on Tastemade's streaming network. 

The series is Tastemade’s first branded home show for TV, and its first made-for-TV show in the home and design category for the digital video media company. 

The series will premiere on September 3.

Realtor Andrew Tyree will host the show, taking first-time home buyers in San Antonio, Los Angeles, Raleigh and Fort Collins to find the right neighborhood and home.

Each episode will dive into the many different aspects of home buying, such as the neighbors, the surrounding businesses and the community, according to the company.

"In 2020, buying a home is more than just the four walls and a roof — it's about investing in a community, made up of small business owners, a cultural history, and neighbors that offer a real sense of support for one another. 'Beyond The Block' demonstrates just that,” stated Jeff Imberman, head of sales and brand partnerships at Tastemade

For this series, the Tastemade and realtor.com teams were filming in the field before and during the national pandemic; the series’ narrative and production was adjusted midway, due to COVID-19.

The show revisits the first-time home buyers and local businesses mid-pandemic to see how they were adapting.

“Beyond the Block” features both pre-COVID and current COVID buying conditions.

In July, Tastemade premiered a travel food show with chef Curtis Stone called “Field Trip” on its streaming network. 

Tastemade says its 24/7 streaming network brings the show to more than 90 million households throughout the U.S.

The company also has a new agreement with Gamut, Cox Media Group’s local-OTT ad-tech company.
