JetBlue customers will now be able to use an installment loan option for all flights via MarcusPay from Goldman Sachs.

Previously, Marcus by Goldman Sachs was only available for vacation packages. The no deposit, no-fee, fixed-rate point-of-sale installment loan option allows customers to pay for larger purchases over time. 

JetBlue, the platform’s inaugural partner, launched MarcusPay earlier this year exclusively for customers booking JetBlue Vacations packages bundling flights with hotels. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in significantly less travel across airlines. 

MarcusPay’s application process offers JetBlue customers the opportunity to apply for a MarcusPay loan from the airline's online payment page and will be available soon via the JetBlue mobile app. 

The option can be used for trips from $750 to $10,000, and customers can see their loan options within minutes.

Customers will know how much they will pay and for exactly how long, with no fees, no up-front deposit required, and a fixed interest rate.

This gives customers another option to pay for their trips — when the time is right, says Andres Barry, president, JetBlue Travel Products.

“With MarcusPay, we’re adding more flexibility and simplicity to the JetBlue travel booking process,” Barry says in a release. 

This partnership is part of JetBlue’s evolution to offer more personalized trip experiences, making the dream of a vacation an easier and affordable reality for many travelers when they feel comfortable traveling again, according to the airline.

The airline also is partnering with Popular, a financial institution in Puerto Rico, to launch two new credit cards for customers in Puerto Rico. 

The new JetBlue Mastercard and the JetBlue Mastercard Eleva from Popular provide an opportunity for customers to earn TrueBlue loyalty points with everyday purchases.

Both products are offering a welcome bonus of either 5,000 or 25,000 TrueBlue points by meeting the purchase requirement during the first 90 days of opening the credit account.

With this launch, the JetBlue Mastercard becomes the only travel card in Puerto Rico without an annual fee that allows customers to earn points for purchases. JetBlue is the largest airline in Puerto Rico.
