Holidays" interactive product recommendation hub went live today.
The digital shops are tailored to specific types of gifts, including: Sentimental Shop, Style Shop, Gadget Shop, Cozy Shop, Wine and Dine Shop, Entertainment Shop, Baby and Fur Baby Shop, Small-But-Mighty Shop, Home Sweet Home Shop and Self-Care Shop.
The Cozy Shop is sponsored by women's underwear brand Maidenform, and the Home Sweet Home Shop by Affirm, a financial-services tech company that offers installment loans.
The "Home for the Holidays" online destination includes more than 300 products, including Sur la Table’s pancake and waffle mix, Briogeo’s hair hydration set, Old Navy’s holiday masks and Poketo’s quarterly goal planner.
Roughly, 80% of all products featured on the hub are under $75.
The site says 71% of its readers say they feel pressured to find “the ultimate present" for the holidays. theSkimm's gift finder lets readers fill in the blanks with who they shop for, what kind of personality or interests they have, and price ranges, to get personalized recommendations.
For the first time, theSkimm will debut a Black Friday edition of its flagship newsletter, The Daily Skimm. It will contain day-after-Thanksgiving recommendations on how to give back, and what to buy, eat and watch.
Also, theSkimm’s “Press Pause” weekly email series, launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, will also publish a Cyber Monday edition. It will feature recommendations to help readers relax and unwind this holiday season.
Last year, theSkimm launched a curated holiday ecommerce shop and a brick-and-mortar pop-up in Manhattan.
