The Lincoln Project isn’t letting up on its barrage of post-election ads.

But now, they’re more focused on Republicans in general for disrupting the transition process and the two GOP senators in Georgia who face runoff elections in January.

One of the two latest ads (released last Friday) notes that President-Elect Joe Biden received more votes than any presidential candidate in history — and that it is “shameful” and “cowardly” of Republicans to obstruct the democratic process by not recognizing the election result.

“It’s time for the Republicans to start putting America first,” the ad proclaims. The visuals are full of grim-looking images of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and other Republican election-result deniers.

A second ad takes on Georgia Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, suggesting “they’re at it again,” referring to Southern politicians doing their darnedest to deny voting rights to Blacks. The ad uses 1960’s-era stock footage of civil-rights activists in the South being beaten by police, attacked by dogs and shot with water cannons, as a narrator states that Perdue and Loeffler support Trump’s effort to suppress the vote.

“We’ve come too far to go back to Jim Crow,” the narrator states as an image of the late Congressman John Lewis, a stalwart of the civil-rights movement, appears on screen.

Combined, the two ads have already garnered nearly 1 million views on the LP YouTube channel.
