Boston Globe's Henry Becomes CEO Of Parent Company

Linda Henry has been named CEO of Boston Global Media Partners, including flagship The Boston Globe, Boston.com and STAT News.

Henry has served as managing director of the Globe for more than seven years. She will continue to head its executive leadership team, while taking responsibility for all of the parent company’s business units.

In a statement, the company said BGMP has “undergone significant transformation” under the ownership of Henry and her husband John Henry, since they took control in 2013.

In related moves, the company said several other executives are assuming new positions, including:

  • Dhiraj Nayar, currently CFO of BGMP, assumes the additional role of COO.
  • Dan Krockmalnic, BGMP’s General Counsel, assumes the additional role of executive vice president-new media.
  • Claudia Henderson, BGMP’s Chief People Officer, assumes the additional role of executive vice president-organizational design and strategic communications.
  • Anthony Bonfiglio, vice president of engineering, product and IT, becomes CTO.
  • Tom Brown, senior director of consumer revenue, becomes vice president-consumer analytics.
