Survey: 68% Saw Digital Sub Growth, But Many Lost Ad Clients

Some 68% of media company respondents in a small recent surveyby the Alliance for Audited Media said their products experienced digital subscription growth this year.

Nineteen percent saw an increase in print subscriptions, while 56% experienced a decrease.

There were roughly 60 publishers that responded to the survey.

Also, 28% say they experienced more creativity in developing offerings for advertising clients in 2020.

However, 79% of respondents said they lost ad clients in 2020. 

Respondents seemed to enjoy working remotely this year — 79% say they had a favorable experience in 2020, and 60% say they enjoyed more flexibility in their workday.

However, more than 50% of respondents say they had an increase in work responsibilities.
