InStyle magazine’s "Badass Women" franchise is collaborating with Los Angeles-based retail brand Mother Denim to produce a capsule collection.
The collection features three pieces: jeans, socks and barrettes.
The Badass Women franchise was created in 2018 to celebrate women who “show up, speak up and get things done.” It typically is featured in two issues a year.
The new collection with Mother Denim includes $24 white tube socks, with the word “badass" printed in orange on the sides. The line also includes a two-pack of orange “badass” barrettes for $24, and high-rise flared jeans in a white wash with "badass" on the back pocket, for $208.
A portion of the proceeds ($5 from each sale of socks and barrettes and $20 from the jeans) will benefit The Loveland Foundation, which provides Black women and girls with access to mental-health services.
InStyle has previously collaborated with Lake & Skye, Clare V, xKarla, Atelier Paulin, Zou Xou and J. Jill, according to WWD reporting.
