Yahoo! Inc. announced last week that its free online greetings service,
Yahoo! Greetings, reached a new milestone on Valentine’s Day -- delivering more than 11
million online greeting cards. On Valentine's Day, more than 14,000 Yahoo! Greetings were sent per minute at the peak of traffic and three times as many Yahoo! Greetings cards were sent this year
compared to last Valentine's Day. Yahoo says that not only was this the busiest ever Valentine's Day for Yahoo! Greetings, it also marks the first time that the service ever delivered 11 million
online cards in a single day.
