On February 8, ViacomCBS Networks International’s Pluto TV will become France’s first free, advertising-supported streaming service (FAST).
The service will offer 40 curated and original channels, including Pluto TV Ciné, Pluto TV Action, and Pluto TV Drama.
The service’s library will comprise content from ViacomCBS and through partnerships, international and French publishers, broadcasters and distributors.
Pluto TV, which does not require users to register, will be available on all major streaming devices, including smart TVs, smartphones, tablets and PCs, via www. pluto.tv, apps on Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast and the iOS and Android apps.
The streamer — currently available in 24 countries, including the U.K., Germany, Spain and 17 Latin American countries — reports 36 million active users worldwide.
Pluto TV’s next international launch is planned for Italy late this year, according to ViacomCBS.
