Netflix Dominates Golden Globe Nominations

Netflix has earned 44 Golden Globe 2021 nominations -- 22 in film categories and 20 in television. 

That amounts to  35% of all nominations and three times as many as any other studio or network. 

Netflix's "Mank" and "The Crown" led on the film and TV series sides, respectively, drawing six nominations each. "The Trial of the Chicago 7" received five nods in the film Best Drama category.

Amazon Studios came in second in film, with 10 total nominations, including seven film nods for "Borat Subsequent Moviefilm."

HBO came in second in TV nominations, with seven.

HBO Max pulled two for its series "The Flight Attendant."

Hulu earned six nominations for TV shows, including "The Great" and "Normal People."

Disney, Focus Features, Searchlight Pictures and Sony Pictures Classics were among the studios that won five nominations in film categories.

This year's awards ceremony will air live on NBC on Sunday, Feb. 28, at 5 p.m. PT.  Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will return to host the show, with Fey broadcasting from New York City's Rainbow Room and Poehler from the Beverly Hilton, where the awards are traditionally held.
