Verizon Offers Sling TV Deal To Broadband, Wireless Customers

Verizon is offering new and existing wireless, Fios and 5G Home customers two free months of Sling TV.

Verizon customers who are not currently Sling TV customers can choose from three options: two months of Sling Blue or Sling Orange ($35/month); two months of Sling International (one of 14 eligible Sling services, with monthly rates varying up to $35/month); or three months of Sling Latino — including Best of Spanish TV at $10/month plus a regional service at $5/month (up to $15/month).

"This partnership enables our customers to watch live television when, where and how they want," stated Erin McPherson, head of consumer content and partnerships at Verizon.

The deal is the latest in a series of partnerships intended to help bolster Fios TV, which lost 82,000 subscribers in this year’s first quarter alone, reducing its total to a 10-year low of 3.77 million.

Verizon also has a partnership with YouTube TV, which is one of the options offered through its Mix & Match broadband and video bundles. In addition, some Verizon bundles come with a free year of Discovery+ and others with a free year of the Disney+/ESPN+/Hulu bundle.

Verizon is also currently running a promotion in which some new Fios subscribers are eligible for a freeyear of Amazon Prime Video.
